Strictly speaking from an Adsense Income Generating point of view, would you say that it is better to build a large number of sites that has mediocre content and average to low quality features or is it better to build a few sites/one site that you put all of your focus on and try to perfect them.
The latter. Nowadays, it takes so much time and effort to have a "quality" site. By that I mean, quality content, social media, networking, keyword research, guest posting, etc.. I'm also a huge proponent of "your works represents you". make something your proud of and the revenue will follow
i agree with your this point is it better to build a few sites/one site that you put all of your focus on and try to perfect them. you must go with that always try to build quality websites not Quantity good luck
Of course, you need to create quality sites, which is under white hat SEO.. try to get traffic for your site and it works good I would say.
Quality sites will perform better, as a mass quantity of worthless sites will do you no good. They need to be maintained and updated on a regular basis. You will need to handle social media and SEO for each website. Google won't rank low-quality websites, not in my previous experiences anyway. I had dozens of sites that were set up but not updated and they never got traffic or revenue. However, after selling some and focusing on just a few, I have managed to earn more than ever before.
The simple words..... Hiqh Quality Sites = High Visitor High Visitor = High click High Click = High Income High quantity sites = high bounce rate. I mean, people will visit just a second, and leave your sites. How they will look the ads and click it?
I agree with that philosophy, of the high bounce rate. But I own a Proxy website network with over 15 websites, that aren't the most high quality. They all get at least 1,000 Unique Visitors a day, so I generate about 25,000+ Unique Visits daily on my whole Proxy Network. But that is just as good as one high quality website that has 50,000 daily visitors, because in my specific Niche, they stay on the website for possibly an hour doing business Anonymously (Which is the service my network provides). Within 10,000 Unique Visitors, I usually get at least 300 clicks, and on average I get about $30 a day with Adsense with only 20 Proxy Websites. I only invested a total of $550 to make every website, so I believe it all just depends on your Niche. Right now I have profited about $3,000+ in 158 days of all my sites running (They all started the same day.) To end this. It all depends on your niche really. If you are good at what you do, you can make a great earning on your Niche with adsense. So Quality vs Quantity is all about what types of websites, and the owner.
I agree that high quality trumps high quantity every day of the week but your proxy network is not a good example. When I think of a low quality site or a thin site I think of a 2 to 3 page blog containing duplicate or nonsensical content about widgets with the sole purpose of getting me to click on an Ad vs supplying me with unique information about the widget. Your proxy network does NOT fit into that mold because like you said, your visitors come and stay for an hour or more because you are providing a service.. that's NOT LOW QUALITY!
I guess that seems right. But still, Proxy Networks are the most outdated Niche, and people really only come for a couple of minutes to do whatever. But I suppose it's not too low quality.
Building a high quality site is like building an everlasting source of income if you are running Google Adsense while building high quantity but low quality website is like building a weak structure wherein within just a single typhoon/cyclone it collapses. As what we observed lately, Google has released a number of updates giving the high quality websites a priority. While de-indexing or punishing the low quality websites. Yes you may earn tons of money from a low quality website at first but I am 100% sure it will not last too soon. It will fail.
no quality, no business. If you can make 10, or 100 high quality sites, you have build that much, but if you are unable to do that, you'd better focus on one website.
I have to go with the quality over quantity as well. The big G will eventually slap the low quality low content websites in time. Google is concerned with customer experience and giving them what they want - hence high quality high content sites win
If you will create quality site other will copy your content . The quality is the best thing but quantity also matters.
