Suggestion List Digital Point at Tapatalk iPhone app to become mobile forum

    Hi,

I purchased this great iPhone app called Tapatalk:http://www.tapatalk.com/ and I was astonished to see DP is not listed there.

Basically, you get all the forums optimized for iPhone trough 1 app.

I think DP owner just needs to register the forum and give some love to us iPhone users:
    http://www.tapatalk.com/plugin.php

Hope DP gets listed there so I can use it!

The iPhone has a web browser easily good enough to browse DP through. If anything it would be better to provide an app for users of phones with bad browsers - there is no need for this.

I understand that forum forces advertising in browser versions, but I think they have ad space too for mobile versions. It can be turned off in the app though, but you get the message not to do it and support forums (I know, "yeah right").

    Anyway, thanks for response.

VBulletion app is only for Vbulletin.com forums.

Has nothing to do with advertising, we just aren't using the app... that's all.

You seem quite adamant on not using it despite many users who think its great. If there is a reason for this I'd be curious to know what it is.

Tapatalk is awesome and most big websites use them, no harm in using it. Please consider tapatalk.

I didn't spend $600 on an iPhone with a great browser to use a stripped-down piece of "mobile" crap.

    I don't see what's wrong with this.

There's nothing wrong with that and even if Tapatalk is supported nothing would stop you from using the browser if you want but just because that works doesn't mean there isn't anything better.

Also not everyone has iPhones, and Tapatalk was designed to make browsing forums easier on mobile devices. Clicking small links can be difficult on small phone screens and some information like post count and avatars can be hidden to save bandwidth and save space on the screen.

I am for Digital Point to use Tapatalk. It's a great little app that means I don't have to use all of my internet on my phone, it's much quicker and it's easier to navigate.

@NN I am not claiming I know why, but I can safely assume it has something to do with proprietary rights. I am not going to share my piece of the pie with anyone either. When it's yours, it's yours. The moment you start sharing it with somebody, you begin to feel like you owe them something. I am pretty sure DP has all the capability he needs to make his own iPhone (or any other) version of the forum.
