Which SEO strategies you apply after the Google Panda and Penguin Updates? Mine will be: Quality content Blog Commenting Guest Blog Forum Posting Keep pay attention in Anchor text Mobile user experience SMO. Please share yours.
Hello, After the latest Google algorithm I apply these techniques into my site and those are:- Quality Content Blog Commenting Guest Blog Forum Posting SMO............ Thank you....
I would say first thing to remember is what works now may not work in a few months time! If the big G wants to change the rules they will! I tend to go for quality, original, fresh, new content as much as possible. G has already shown they are giving preference to "authority" sites rather than small 2/3 pages sites
I would have something which people would likely share in Facebook, Twitter & other social sites in addition to variety and anchor-text diversity. Also I am sure building relevant links gives a higher boost. For EMDs I would have links with anchor text as emd.com rather than EMD.
My SEO Strategy for 2013 is creating more shareable content. For 2014 my SEO strategy is creating even more shareable content. That worked 2012, 2011, 2010 and 2009. I do think I stay on this route.
Don´t see all what I write here as a masterplan... I don´t believe on any "Do this and success will come" stories... but let me explain further what I mean: In my opinion there are different types of that kind of content. But not every method fits to every website concept. Basically I usually say it is that kind of content where a user is deciding that what he/she reads, has value. So much value that he/she wants to share it. It can be something of the following things for example... - Great Storys: They are emotional and can lead to users who will subliminally want to share the content and before they can think about it... it´s too late and already done. - Great Ideas: People simply love to show if they found great ideas they can identify with. - Great Information: People do like to share what they learned just this minute. - Great Creativity: Many like to find and share things which are creative or let me say unusual... maybe new and stunning. - Great Entertainment: We all know.. regardless of whether we are talking about music, funny pictures or video clips. People love to show and say "Hey friends did you see that? I had to laugh" or the dramatical dramatically oposiste. I think there is more, however everything has something in common... it must be fresh, it must be new and maybe even something that people share due to the fact that they think they are the first who share it... To understand how to create that kind of content you must for sure understand your own reader and your own niche or let me say concept of the website. If you are writing about graphic software like photoshop... is it is necessary that you write about how to create that cool crazy text effect if users could find already a gazillion of these tutorials when they ask google? Why not writing about something completely new? Something difficult that other photoshop bloggers would not like to write about. I remember when I learned to use a 3d software and what I wanted to do is basically design a fish in 3d to animate that fish later on like in the movie "Find Nemo". I was shocked when I did not find any tutorial and that compared to how long the software and the internet exists. Later on I was fit in the software and years later when I started to blog, I did come back to that idea... I created that tutorial and it was going viral when facebook and so didn´t even existed. But viral on the way that hundreds of other bloggers and websites did point to my article from their site. A few years later I became interested in fish keeping and learned a lot. Again there happened somethign... I was actually searching for a breeding report for a particular fish species and I thougth "That can´t be!" and found not even one article about that subject and particular fish. A new idea was born... I just started a website about aquarum fishes but did hit that kind of topics and the traffic went crazy. People don´t need a tutorial how to bread Guppy´s... Guppy´s bread even without your help. What people need is something explained that is NOT so easy done or that never HAS BEEN done or written about. Something that they could not find out on their own.... this is the kind of content where people do think "Oh my gosh, I finally found out how to..." and then they share it with their friends, just due to the fact that their friends have similar interests. Since I have several webprojects, I could give more examples. But hoestly I also must mention that it does not work always. Patience and creativity is needed. I must be true that there is one of my blogs with over 500 blog posts and only 20 articles went (yea let me say) viral. I mean shares on social media, backlinks and so on. A friend said... 20 of 500 articles? That´s poor. But what he does not know as person who never managed a website, is that it must be seen as a whole for that particular website. One of my articles has been mentioned by BBC on this way. Yea by BBC! Hight authority backlink.... and those 20 articles on one of my blogs have several other of this link. Conclusion and many times said.... CONTENT is KING and the reader is the princess and both must match. It must be said again and again. This strategy will lead to success. I have several blogs but tt´s amusing that one of my blogs gets 1500 daily visits while I never did active SEO for that blog and while that blog has a pagerank of zero. Zero!!! All I did is writing things I wanted to share. Some of these things have never been read while others gone viral and sit on the second or first row for a strong keyword in google. This is the point where people give up.... wooohooo I wrote 10 blog posts and don´t even get a single reader. They hear about seo and hire a few self-proclaimed seo-experts and things get with a penalized domain even worse. And that is the point where the relationship often ends. I have seen many who simply deleted their own blog or domain because they expected things to happen in few days like if there would be a magic ruse. And that´s it.. what seo´s actually want to tell you... the ruse. But sorry.. most of them are wrong. I prefer my BBC link and the other links I didn´t mention over any of these gazillions of spammed "link packages" you get for five dollars. (I am kidding with that example). There is one reason why I don´t have a website about cars or whatever... I don´t know nothing about cars. How could I write about that topic if I do not know anything about it? Research? Might work... but I do prefer passion and then creativity and awesome ideas come all alone. This was my seo strategy and will always be my seo strategy.
Well, I know many people say that the content is the king. No matter it may be important, however, without much SEO on it, the content may not bring in any results. On the other hand, if you don't have a very good content but are able to do a lot of SEO and link building then even an average type of content may bring in more results. I believe placing too much importance on the content and not focusing on other aspects isn't a very good idea.
My SEO strategies for 2013/14 high pr directory, and fresh article, high pr bookmarking, forum post blog submission, press release ,and on page should be better ,CONTENT will very fresh.
i think writing something of interest and useful for your target audience is very important, and I can't stress that enough. That's what I'm gonna do for 2013/14.. think of a fresh new angle.
I agree a little bit... But don´t forget that the usual blogger is creating backlinks too but in my opinion on way more effective way. The usual blogger for example is normally socializing with a lot of other bloggers. If you are graphic design or photography blogger then you usually visit blogs with the same subject. You do it just because you can still learn new things too and you do it to hear what others are writing and what kind of information they offer. What almost to 50% is happening then if you comment on their blog posts... they visit you back. And what they find is quality content. And then the chance is big that they mention one of your blog posts on their blog. And we all know they have followers too... the chance is big that content can go a big route on this way. But with one vital difference to hardcore SEO. The backlinks are natural and came without extra work because of the fact that you do not comment for backlinks but to inform your self and to socialize. It simply does not count as work then. What I want to say is that content is much more vital than any SEO. SEO is completely overrated. In over 6 years I have now 5 blogs with a lot of content and not any of them have ever been punished by google. The opposite happened. Even one of my blogs with PR 0 is ranked very high to keywords I would like to rank for anyway. This is my main and best blog and does rank even better then my PR 3 and PR 4 blog and the lower ones. The PR 0 blog (ok to be true I bet this blog will get a PR 4 or 5 with the next update) has over 1,5k daily visits. No additional SEO... I simply did what other bloggers are doing too... socializing and commenting on other places if they find something interesting. But the content of my blog gets backlinks because people find something interesting on my blog. This is a vital difference to for example SEO´s who seek for gazillion backlinks every month to find out later that google did punish them with an unranked status. I really prefer it if other bloggers in the same niche admire my content... and when I talk about the BBC backlink I got... I am truly proud that my strategy works and this link is just one of many natural backlinks I got. This is what I wanted to say. Do write... do write a lot and try to write content of quality. And I do think that I do not have to suggest to socialize with other bloggers. This is self-explaining anyways and must not be mentioned due to the fact that bloggers usualy do socialize anyway. This is positive SEO and actually what google loves. Don´t ask me how google can see the difference between natural and unnatural SEO. However... if I look into my spam folder and see all the funny and incomprehensibly comments in that typicall pakistani-indian-english... I really do think it must not be too difficult for google if even akismet is doing the job great. And spamming with junk comment is just one method of negative SEO. Writing useful content and socializing with other webmasters gets rewarded soon or later. It takes time but the time shows, the rewards are great. No additional SEO needed. Point.
