Site description on Google

Hello, I created a new website a couple of weeks ago and its doing fairly well for being new. About a month ago I slightly changed the description of the site and the keywords and saw it change on google in the next few days. However, I realized I didnt have the best description and keywords so I changed them about three weeks ago. This time, I havent seen Google make any changes to my sites appearance in the results, neither the title nor the description (and I am afraid maybe my completely upgraded keywords) are being shown. If it helps I am using Joomla and made these updates in "global configuration". Can anyone give me advice or tell me why this is happening? Thanks

Sign up to Google Webmaster Tools here and submit your site for indexing again. You could also use pinging services to help get it re-indexed. Oh and make sure you have a robots.txt

When you change something on a webpage(s), here's a tip from Google's Matt Cutts on getting Google to quickly recrawl that changed (or new) page —
Google Webmaster Tools > Crawl > Fetch As Google > enter the page url and hit "Fetch" > then click Submit to Index.

google doesn't show the title/description in real time. once you make a change, it can take some time for google to show the update so have patience

This is an example of what I mean. See how the longer site name shows up for the "administrator" page but not the actual home page? I've tried everything I can but I am not sure how to fix it, I am not even sure its googles fault.

Also, please keep in your mind that changing your site title or description many times may cause your site as well.. so don't change if it is ranking good.

Wait for Google to recrawl your site and update the cached copy of your webpage in its index, until all this happens Google will not update any elements for a webpage in its search results. Use "Fetch as Google bot " option on Google Webmaster tools to force the issue.
