    Hey, Google won't penalize your site if you check 1-5 times a week, Google will penalize your site if you check for rankings frequently. (since Google knows natural queries & manipulated queries from all ip's)) I had a site before, I optimize it weekly or once in every two weeks & checks 3- 4 times a week.

    Bullshit! If they did that, then we could just check the rankings of our competitors sites to get them penalized. Ever wondered why no one spends their time do that for?

    Google not penalize any website if you check ranking everyday, but i suggest you don't check ranking everyday, focus on your work and check ranking 1 time in a week.
