I am checking these domains over ahrefs and no one have backlinks. Why is this possible having high PageRanks?

Because the pagerank was redirected from another domain, most likely.

you can redirect a domain to another domain. so that if you type in domain1, the browser automaticaly will open domain2, bacause the owner of domain1 redirected domain1 to domain2. although domain1 is pr0 it now have the pr of domain2. hope that helps

These all have fake PR. As others said, fake PR occurs when someone 301 redirects a high PR website (or two, or three, or...) and sends the PR juice towards the other domain. They do this in anticipation of a PR update. Then, when the PR update has occurred, they then remove the 301 redirect.

What happens then, is they can then sell the domain for a few hundred dollars, claiming it is a PR 5 domain (but in reality, most undersell it, giving themselves away, hoping to play upon desperation). But in reality, it has zero PR at all. But the trick is because Google updates their public PR numbers so sporadically, the public PR listing is wrong. So what you need to do, is check for any 301 redirects. There are lots of free websites that do that, just Google it.

    Buyer beware.

yeah unfortunately these all have fake PR and it costs a little more than $10 to get great high pr domains.

    Hi guys,

You can detect Fake PR this way.

    Type info:domainname (e.g. info:makeufat.net ) in Google search.

In the results if it shows a different domain name then it's fake and got the PR by redirection.

Otherwise the domain is not fake but most of the back links would have died and it's expected to drop PR after next update.

1 more way to detect fake pr even if have many backlinks is to check what is in http://archive.org/web/web.php

    if get something like
    Loading...

    http://www.xxxxx.com/ | 13:32:07 apr 19, 2012

Got an HTTP 302 response at crawl time

    Redirecting to...

    http://www.yyyyyy.com/

in the most cases it means that the first domain got pr from the redirect
    hope it helps

If you can buy a valuable PR5 domain for $200, you're lucky. There are so many professional domain traders that's it almost impossible to get a good PR5 , .net, .org .comf or $5. f it is just for the PR juice, one should look for foreign domains (competition is less in catching domains). I recently bought a .be PR4 domain for 20 euro.

I think that they work as a .com. I know that everybody says that .com, .net and.org works best but it is the same as whit many other elements of SEO (somebody does a limited test which indicates it "proves" something" and it starts running its own live). I also thinks that the linkprofile is more important than the domain extension (I must admit that I also have Dutch sites - so I can use the sites in any case but you have often english domain descriptions)

Usually, there are fake high pr sites. So another high pr sites does a redirect to a new site and that new site gets a fake high pr. You can check this with a fake pr checker on google. Also, a high pr without any backlinks is worthless. I rather buy a PR1 with 1K backlinks than a PR6 with zero backlinks.

    Hope this helps

It seems many people got fooled and take useless domains. The sad part is, they sell it in DP. I would blacklist automatically those sellers from my 'private list of respected seller'.
