I have been studying SEO non stop since 2003 and seriously held out until today to watch my first Matt Cutts video > I came across it on the DP index page posted at today at 5:22 PM but who posted it I can't quite see/fathom presently. Anyhow hearing Matt Cutts talk for the first time today, I can honestly say this guy is funny and has some sense of humour. Take a listen to the video and listen to his laughter and watch his facials expressions. You could try watching in slow mo to as that often gives a great insight but boy this guy is funny! Nice first vid to watch for me to considering my own cartoon characters linking methods. So that's it I can now say I watched my first Matt Cutts video on YouTube ten years after I first decided to study SEO. What do you think about the video's contents and when did you watch your first Matt Cutts video?

matt cutts is also know for his unusual hand choreography I think I've been watching his videos for ever, as long as I've been doing SEO, which has been some 5 years now.
Is that as he is a NASA robot do you think? (The hand signals that is) LOL (I am kidding) I have just read others comments on his stuff over the years and transcripts, as rarely listen to any sound online other than music if I can help it so never really plug in any way to hear stuff a majority of the time. I have read quite a bit though in regard to his stuff without seeing the vids everyone seems so taken with & have got the giste of what most of it is supposed to be about. As it happens I have never watched an SEOmoz vid either, as can easily catch up with their latest back to the drawing board Friday er sorry Whiteboard Friday stuff when others quote their stuff week after week after week.
Google is an algorithm, Matt is a person. He speaks of google's algorithms as he is personally reviewing all of the sites by himself. The algorithm is no where near that perfect, but of course he won't say that they make mistakes all the time
So it is fairly safe you think Matt Cutts has flaws then eh? Funnily enough although I didn't see a Matt Cutts video properly until 2013 back in 2008 I wrote a poem about Matt Cutts having flaws becuase someone had pointed that out when Matt Cutts was talking about "author highlights"(here) on his blog (which I mentioned on the place in my sig). Here is the poem > Matt Cutts has Flaws I heard it said Matt Cutts has flaws. May be Matt Cutts should be carpeting floors. Going by names he should be measuring yours. Cutting the mat’s to fit your skirting and doors. May be that’s why someone said Matt Cutts has flaws? I heard it said Matt Cutts has flaws. Even though he makes some of the Google spam laws. There are others that think Matt Cutts should lay mats on floors. They think Matt Cutts should do the job he was named for. Not spend time stopping spam get the top scores. I heard it said Matt Cutts has flaws. Matt Cutts is fallable so he is not the lord. So it is no surprise Matt Cutts like you is flawed. But Matt Cutts still stops spam and does not carpet floors.
