When the next Google page rank update ..

Google updates the page rank for webpages once in 3 to 4 months. Its important not to be obsessed by increasing the PR of a webpage or a site and to avoid building links or optimizing the site manipulatively. This might lead to being penalized by Google and even removed from their search index.

Today is 22nd july 2013 and google has not yet updated page rank. I think in their next ranking update, google may dis-continue the Page Rank thing.
Last update took place on 4th feb 2013

 

I agree with you on this. There are many other factors too that affect site rankings.

I think there may not any PR update in near future.

 

I think PageRank stats is going to die soon. People redirect to high PR sites and get fake PRs. If you do not know, its more then 4 months since the last Update in Feb 2013. I don't they will update it again. Its dead guys. Domain Authority is what all matters.

 

It's not over until Google officially says its over.

 

Most of the pr updates are months in between. If it is dead then Google should at least have the decency to come out and say so. I'm sure they know webmaster's are sitting on the edges of their seats waiting for updates.

 

My website PR is 0 but my website is showing on first page of Google from couple of keywords. Page rank is not important if we want to come on first page.

 

PR is and has been an irrelevant ranking factor for several years now, those that still use it are on the 'wrong' side of SEO best practice.

 

2 old websites I have changed PR (from 4 to 3 and from 3 to 0).
Has anyone noticed something recently ?

But i assure you that you will get all recent updates right here. Keep checking DP industry news on daily or weekly basis. I'm also doing same thing.

Do you people know when will be the new page rank update is coming of Google. If i am not wrong according to Google guidelines PR update will come at every 6 months of time.

May be you people guide me better about the date of coming. Please share your comment and let me know when it will be coming.

 

There is a thread especially discuss about Page Rank. You can start discuss about it with so many members. Creating another thread isn't recommended.

 

Google is making hard the prediction ..

 

I think it should be by the first week of August.

 

But without links a site also cannot rank higher. I think google give more value to links which are naturally acquired even if they are pr0 . Those sites with natural links do better than those who purchased links from blogs, directories, guest posts etc.
