This weekend i got a warning from digital point saying that they have added 3 points to me and have taken away all my likes? I only had one but still :/ Apparently I was trading likes? When i didn't do no such thing? Some people just liked a post i put? What should i do? Feel a little annoyed! Has this happened to anyone else?
O.K. so are you saying that you were not trading likes? If so then please explain, it could only serve to help your case if you do, as the mods/admin. will read your post here.
I think even if you explain your case here, mods will not revoke their decision as they would have done enough research to have it done. Has this ever happened? mods revoking their decisions?
Short answer...yes. When mistakes have been identified decisions have been reversed. Hasn't happened often, due to the fact that errors have been few and far between.
OK I saw your post that you are referring to and it was a post that started a thread in the SEO section (I seem to recall) which wasn't even a good question or really about SEO and had 3 likes for no good reason as there was no info, no humour, no anything, other than a question, a somewhat naff not even particularly on SEO topic question to I seem to remember, so it's no wonder others saw the post/thread as suspicious for gaining 3 likes for nothing at all now is it? You can get likes easily enough without getting them in ways that look dodgy. Just post something funny at the right time or place or participate with something useful to answer someone or any number of things but when things look like they are suspicious you can't complain about that as we have all seen people selling likes for DP elsewhere and many of us have received private messages about helping people with likes. Some dish out likes like smarties to try and help you guys out if you know where to look so there is no need to try a play the system tbh Ruddy likes LOL I sometimes wonder what all the fuss is about, but then I dish them out a plenty and sometimes to first time posters and sometimes for just one line or many other reasons but always for some sort of useful participation from my own perspective. @kingofkings as Spoildiva just said, it's not completely unheard of, but very rare. I have seen and watched a decision by one then reinstated by another, but I won't divulge what I have seen in this regard as the dteails not really important nor relevant to this thread ...
I didn't trade likes! I didn't even know why I got them :O I just came on and they was there. I don't really care about likes! I just like asking questions and finding out stuff! This forum has a great source of people happy to help which is awesome. I just don't want to get my account banned because of someone liking my thing. I don't care about getting likes back. Just want my account to not have so many warnings. And I don't want to like have to make a new account which i think is understandable? Thanks for answering me Oli
You need ten points for a ban. I didn't view your post, so I can't speak of its quality (sounds like it can't have been about teddy bears) , but you might have been unlucky enough to receive three likes from three like traders. There was a bit of an epidemic recently, it seems. So, don't worry too much if you are just on three. You don't seem stupid, so I'm sure you will get some again.
if your "like" post deleted due to warning then the likes will gone automatically. Read Forum Rules before posting.
