    If we're talking about the same "direct traffic", then I don't see what's wrong with it.

    As long as the visitors are real and have interest in your topic, I don't see a problem with it.

    They are either earning that much through 1 site, 2 sites, or several upon several sites..

    I would gather that those sites are very very useful to a certain extent. Which means, if they were more useful than sought out to be, they (traffic) wouldn't be clicking ADS as much as they are, unless he's getting $10 a click, they would be using the site.

    Direct traffic is something to be careful with especially when there's a lot of clicking going on..

    The bottom line is that he's getting LASER TARGETED TRAFFIC and they are clicking.

    I'm not at this guy's level but here's my totals so far. I have only ONE high-traffic site and most of the traffic is "direct". I haven't been banned and have been producing at this level ever since I started with Adsense.

    $1,000 a day is a tremendous achievement, if it's a real achievement that is. As others have asked... how many websites are you running? Is your traffic from several different, smaller sites, or is the majority of your traffic from one big site that you run?
