Is long tail keywords research helps to improve web traffic?

    Long tail keywords are definitely the way to go if you want to generate more traffic. The main problem with them is that it takes quite a lot of research to find the ones that may be quite useful as well as profitable.

    However, if you did your research right and managed to get one that is searched a lot but has less competition, as long as you do everything right and your site is customer friendly, then you may have just unearthed yourself a goldmine.

    How do you define a goldmine keyword? Have you any process you follow to find long tail keywords? Share some tangible tips to add value to this thread!

    You can also take suggestion from your friends. Its the best way to find long tail keywords.

    The main purpose of getting long tail keywords is triggering the right targeted audience, whose needs match exactly with your offers.

    A good software helps a lot in keyword research!

    It is assumed that long tail keywords have less competition but it may not apply to all the long tail keywords, some long tail keywords may be competitive too. So you have to research your keyword in term of competition too.

    Yes, it would be good if you find some long tail keywords and do on-page optimization properly, it would really rank good.

    If your having trouble finding keywords there are two ways to go about this
    1. You can pay for a number of software such as market samurai

    2. If your looking for a free way you can use Google's keyword tool or, http://www.spyfu.com/ to find keywords for free. What you do is find competitive website that you are ranking against and find out what keywords their articles are ranking for. For example if you're in the business niche you find article that your competition is ranking for, then you write a similar article and try to outrank them, or get right behind them in rankings.

    Use only Google Adwords keyword tool, it gives good estimation, and it is based on Google search networks..

    When you are researching keywords then go dipper into the keywords, surely you would find some long tail keywords.

    People can use brand keywords, two pharse keywords but competion will be high and conversion percentage will be low. So go for Long tail keywords definately helps in bringing 90% conversions.
