Hi, So I have my product sales page and I am thinking about posting ads on Craigslist and I have been advised to track these adds - how do I go about doing this please? Thanks ind advance!
If you're planning to use a URL within your ad, you can shorten it using URL shortening sites, then you will be able to see how many clicks came through the shortened link. The question is will CL allow you to use a shortened link. Check out some of them here: https://www.google.com/search?q=sho...y5EQ0A.O&fp=3b50174589a42175&biw=1366&bih=643
bit.ly or goo.gl work great and are widely recognized, and as Qwik points out there are 1000's of different services offering it ...
qwikad: thanks for this and my i use my payapl link throughout the sales copy so maybe i could have this shortened and whether CL allow this, I will have to search. thanks soo much nameetwork: thanks too for the exmaples/resources which I will have a look a too!
you can use shorten url service to like, bitly, they will track your url and tell where the traffic come from
I used bit.ly (free URL tracker), but not on Craigslist! You can always try it! There is nothing to lose because it's a free service! Just check if CL allows it!
Hi, you can mask your link with bitly or google shortner. You can track all the clicks with location etc.
Do NOT use bit.ly. Do a Google search for url shorteners and use one from the second or third page of the results. Craigslist is not as familiar with the lesser known shorteners.
Hi ChirsBa: I'm trying to learn how to use prosper202. Do you know someone I can pay to teach me how to use it over skype? Rob
@robscross123, Personal training would always cost you more, you can go on the warriorforum and search for the products available for p202! I saw couple of ebooks selling on warriorforum which were delivering advanced knowledge! ChrisBa is also well reputed at warriorforum
I use goo.gl for tracing click on external sites and Analytics event code to track onpage clicks(although it seem to be a bit buggy sometimes).
You should also be tracking conversions for any paid ads to identify your ROI. Otherwise, you have no idea if the placement is working or not. Good luck.
