Ok, so usually we check whether a site is deindexed or banned by going to google.com and type site:mydomain.com or info:mydomain.com But if it is a new clean registered domain or it is inactive/dormant domain for long time, you will also get zero results like it is deindexed. So how do you check for sure whether a domain is banned in Google? Thanks
If you want to check and see if a site is indexed by Google, you can go to Google and search the following: "site: (the url)" You can also just put your domain straight into the search bar. If your site is good (not banned) it ought to show up just as an exact search. You can also Go check out: http://www.rankchecker.com/pagerank-checker/ to see if the site you're looking at has real PR or not. Throw the domain you want to check out into the search bar and view the results.
I think you missed the point about if the domain has been dead for a long period of time it may appear to have no results however that may be a "false positive".
Precisely. That is what I want to know. Not just stating the obvious way of checking indexing which I already stated in my first post
