Your best tecniques for driving traffic, increasing page rank and improving website performance

I would love for us to share some real in-depth tips here. so often, you see threads about SEO and the answers are short and generic in nature. So many of us are looking for more useful tips on SEO and website traffic.

So I would like to invite all of you to explain your best methods for SEO, driving traffic and generally improving page rank. What have you done for yourselves and clients? How do you really get more traffic? What are the best SEO practices for a website?

To begin, I'll address back linking. you see this all the time. "Get more back links from high rankings sites." But no one ever tells you how to do this. So I'll throw out the first tip. one very effective way to get back links is to create and publish quality content. This means writing articles, blogging and posting YouTube videos, for a start.

you see, each of these has the option of being syndicated. This means other webmasters will embed your content on their own websites, blogs and social pages. This not only increases the number of people who will see what you've written and potentially follow the links back to your website, but it has the added benefit of building a solid relevant link network for the search engines to crawl and help rank you.

One of the best features of syndication is that it happens all by itself. However, you can help it along by letting your social networks know what you're doing, invite them to view your content and share it, and post links and updates on your and others' blogs.

I think this is a good beginning and I hope this thread becomes a real source of practical help.

What again! what with, you may ask?

Well "backlinks" to start with and the statement above that says "create and publish quality content"

I say "talk absolute bollocks just for the craic" so every nut loves it will get you more backlinks and likes and other such erm stuff all over the place...

I do think there is a debate that humour (humor) has a slightly winning hand if the Jape is done right like Operation Virgle or CompareTheMeerkat or ... ... ...

It is the key to quantity over quality in some metrics.

 

I have to be honest, I'm not sure what relevation is saying here. What is it that is disagreeable and what exactly is he talking about in terms of SEO, page rankings and so forth.

If he is saying that publishing content for general syndication does not work, I must disagree with him. It has worked quite well for me and my clients.

It had worked for everyone, but now it doesn't work anymore, avoid syndication completely. Write fresh, unique and creative (most important) posts to attract people not search engines. If people like your content, search engines won't have any other option than ranking you (your post) on top.

Focus on votes (in the form of references, likes, shares, etc.), instead of syndication. Syndication will definitely have adverse impact sooner or later

Or course they do, everyones experiences are diffrent sCookAAM...

But are we talking "PR / pagerank" or SERPS as the PR (Page Rank) thing would I suggest work as well if not more so with Jape than it would with good content hence why things like CompareTheMeerkat (part jape) and other tongue in cheek jokey type advertising help with the "page rank" if you get my drift.

Funny stuff gets linked and liked more so than good content more often than not. Though free give aways obviously help to!

The other type of page rank EG SERPS likely in most caess to work diffrently again and indeed with quality content, but page rank was mentioned in the thread title and not SERPS..

 

That's a very interesting point, but why do you say syndication does not work? When you rite an article, a good one written for people. This is key to all online content, BTW, write for the reader, not for search engines.

When these articles are published and re-published, they spread your content around and also spread around your links. this grows your web of relvvant back links. While it is always better to produce new and original content, having your good quality aritcles and blog posts re-published has positive benefits. not only for dearch engines but for attracting and driving traffic directly.

if anyone has any other information that proves this incorrect, I'd love to hear it. But just saying this is no good doesn't really help. Please offer some backup information. In this way, this thread will be of the greatest help to everyone who reads it. Thanks all.

 

When did I mention "syndication"? It's not even clear which "page rank" you menat as far as I can tell yet tbh.
