Hello engrmoro , with few words you are talking about that SEO needs time , this is something i agree 100% with you, and of course as i have mentioned in a previous post , all the SEO specialists or managers must know google's new rules.
Some of them are :

link weight
link velocity
drip rate
anchor tag density
link loss rate

Google trying to understood , from the website owner or the SEO man , which site to rank higher for the same keyword.

Quality , naturality , regularity and sociality are 4 conditions that we must give attention in nowdays SEO.

We are trying to rank at first page of google , low competition keywords in less than 3 months , but most of the times ,we will need more time for high competition keywords .

Half way through my 3 month deadline and not seen any results at all. Was promised a small sample of the work that had been done at the start of the month which I am still waiting for.

I have never said that I could rank it. But if you are going to make your own deadlines then I can only comment on that.

You stated a 3 month deadline and we are half way through. The website is not even in the top 100 and from what I have witnessed no links have been built.

No one in their right mind is going to continue paying for a service if they do not have any proof that any work has been done.

Two weeks ago you said you were sending the report, still no sign of it..

You waited for 1.5 months already? My case I waited 27 days and his monitor said I was in somewhere like 76th position. However, I found no where for my keyword with many proxy.

Then he said its averaged position then I showed him the math average=76th means some are better some are worse. I asked him to show me some report of where to find my keyword on google? Nothing shown.
