Good Bye! Altavista

    So AltaVista is going to be closed on 8thJuly2013. I am not sure what Yahoo really want? One side they purchase tumblr(try to copy same idea of Google) and another side they decided to close Altavista.

    You should go back and read all the journeys of the patents and the history about it all it makes for a very interesting read.

    But put it this way alta vista had 58 of them in 2003

    wow, it must have been 15 years or so since I last used altavista

    in those days I loved to use excite.com since it searched on several search engines at once, remember that one?

    I remember both AltaVista and Excite. The latter was my homepage back in the early 2000s.

    Does anyone remember Snap?
