Obama supports Egypt's new Dictator, Mubarak was far too Secular

When Egyptians marched against the dictator Hosni Mubarak, within days Obama insisted Mubarak must leave. A surprising move, considering Mubarak's government was secular, US friendly, and had maintained long term peace with Israel. This was to be Obama's new diplomacy to restore American credibility in the middle east.

In the chaos that followed, the Egyptians elected Mr. Morsi, a president from the Muslim Brotherhood, in spite of the fact that only roughly 25% of Egyptians identify with the Muslim Brotherhood. Once in power, Morsi temporarily granted himself supreme power, even over their high court, to push through a constitution without having to include the input of the secular liberals who make up a large minority in Parliament, in spite of the majority of Egypt's population they represent.

Now the people are once again marching in the streets of Egypt to oust their new dictator Morsi, a dictator who is much less friendly to the US, Israel, and civil liberties. And what do we hear from the White House? Not a peep.

Any surprise that these are the images we see coming out of Egypt?

Obama, your bitch is our dictator says it best. Islamic-Fascists are USA´s new best friends. Egypt is not alone. The Taliban has opened their embassy in the UAE and it seems the USA is going to put them back as the rulers of Afghanistan. They already replaced the secular government of Libya with fanatics and they are on the way to do the same in Syria.
It is kind of like fashion. Things that were fashionable in 1960-1970 went out of style but now are back in fashion as retro style. The green line of Islam was the theory from 1970s by USA that was supposed to put Islamic countries in front of old soviet. Old soviet disappeared so Muslim countries were not needed and Muslims became the latest bogeyman. With economic crisis keeping the dictators was not cheap so why not replace them with "Muslim" governments that can fool people and have some kind of popular support by using people´s ignorance and belief in religion. Not only these "Muslim" tugs can provide their own armed gangs which makes it cheaper than keeping a regular army, the lack of strong central power in these countries makes it much easier to make an agreement and contracts with a bunch of warlords that are only interested to fill their own pockets. ;):)
Smart policy from the USA even if the average American doesn´t understand what happened to yesterday bogeyman that was such a big danger.

Last I heard Morsi is gone, nowhere to be found. Probably got a ride from Joe Biden.

Morsi is gone and it seems Islamisation of Middle east by the west has failed in Egypt for now at least. The English TV commentator and the UK government are crying about it today. This is an interesting situation in comparison with couple of years ago (the time that they believed they can win Iraq and Afghanistan) when the western countries were claiming that people in the Middle East are just barbarian fanatic Muslims who hate democracy and want Shari law. It seems people in those countries don´t want to be ruled by fanatic Muslims while western countries want to push fanatic Muslims down their throat. UK role in this process quite interesting because if you have travelled in that region, you are aware that most people (with some exaggeration) believe that every clergy in every mosque is an agent of British MI6. This has some element of truth because the UK has a long history in that region and because the clergy have no income except what they receive from people, they are very easy to be bought with a couple of pounds per month. England historically has been very successful to use the Muslim clergy (Imams) as a tool to achieve their political goals.

If you look at ALL conflict involving western countries, they are all backing up islamists..
As to why, honestly I don't know, I have other things to do than to think about it, but it's obvious.
It seems since 9/11 the US politicians seem to really love islam even more.

In all those countries, people are poor and illiterate which makes the religion strong and an easy tool to be used to fool people. Set up an Islamic government that kills people and destroys all the democratic principles and you have a fascist dictatorship that has the support of idiot mass that think they are serving God. This type of dictatorships is much cheaper than the old type of dictatorship when you had to have a strong army to fight people because it lacked popular support.
Looking at rumors about USA leaving Afghanistan next year, it probably means that they have already agreed with Talibans about having a Fascist-Islamic government there because there is no way that the present government can survive.
