    Google PR is not as important as DA and PA. You can have a PR 8 blog and still NO rank at all and PR1 and be #1 for a good keyword... PR is only important if you are going to sell your website / blog, links or articles on your website or do a link exchange! ;)

    If you have a PR8 blog and it's not ranking, then you have acquired that pagerank using dodgy black-hat tactics in which case the pagerank is fake. Do you think Google's algorithm is going to award a site with PR8 on the basis of it not ranking for anything? I don't think so. But PR is a good metric, if used along side other metrics such as Domain Authority, Page Authority, Social Network statistics etc.

    Page rank is not as important as it was a few years back.
    I believe at some point google will just do away with page rank.
    Either you rank high in the serps, or you don't.
