I would like to know 2 things first one is when we search (site:abc.com) to know our indexed page or something different..second one is why we submit the sitemap of our blog at google webmaster .I have already submit my blog's sitemap at google webmaster but i saw a message like this (http://xyz.blogspot.com/robots.txt ).when i search (site :my blog) then i got message ..is there any robots.txt...but if i simple paste the name of my blog on google then it shows in the SERPS .
hi i assume you have already submitted your blog's sitemap on google webmaster tools even after that your blog is not showing in google have you changed it's metas and old content recently ? then you need to update the sitemap. Have you made any changes to your robots.txt file also? You may also want to check your theme to make sure noindex is not in the header
buy some link, if after that you blog willn't go in index so...create new ) and also give gwt some time
Firstly i had submitted (/atom.xml) as a sitemap of my blog on google webmaster.My blog is showing in google (www.mansaprints.blogspot.in) it's not a problem. when i look for (site:www.mansaprints.blogspot.in) then it shows didn't match any documents.In google webmaster tool a message in blocked url is that ..your url is blocked. But i am waiting for the new message because i change the my sitemap like (atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500) .
My question is that how can i know my blog is index in google and can we submit the sitemap of blog like we do for websites..
ashutosh By far you have done good Below is your robots.txt # Blogger Sitemap generated on 2013.05.01 User-agent: * Disallow: /search Allow: / Sitemap: http://www.mansaprints.blogspot.in/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500 and your site is in google index..check here The reason why its not showing all the pages is probably sitemap link in robots.txt. try changing it to http://www.mansaprints.blogspot.in/feeds/posts/default?orderby=UPDATED and then you may resubmit your sitemap to WBT.

Hello,I submitted the feeds/posts/default?orderby=UPDATED in WBT today.I also checked the GWMT in which ( http://www.mansaprints.blogspot.in/ ) is showed block only this url of blog.But one important question is here if my all pages of sitemap are shown indexed then why when i search (site:http://www.mansaprints.blogspot.in/) is not shown in google.Otherwise when i submit http://www.mansaprints.blogspot.in/ this directly in google ..it shown in search engine.Please explain all my question in detail.
Submitting sitemap.xml (placed under root directory of a domain) to Google is to make it easy for Google to index almost all pages on your site. Robots.txt which is also placed under root directory of a domain is a protocol for search engines to know which pages on the site it should not crawl and index and the ones they can.
