How to recover my website from Penguin?

    Hi,

My site was performing good in SERP and it was ranking on first position around one year before.

I remember I had done only directory submission, with varieties of title and unique description, but my site was caught with another Penguin update and it got penalized... now I'm not able to find my site in SERP but it is indexed in Google.

What were the keywords you were ranking for?

You have lost about 1,000 backlinks over the course of a few months.... Also, for every backlink you do gain, you lose 5-10, so that's not helping out much.

You are ranking in the 438th position right now for that keyword.. OUCH!

My guess is that you have only been doing some form of SEO through "forum posting"?

    Holla!

No, I haven't done any forum posting for this, only directory submission!

    That was once enough...NOT anymore...

Time to approach this a little different and diversify your link building strategy...

    Or, get a new domain...

Most of the pros I know don't try to recover sites, they start from scratch. Renting high PageRank links is the name of the game now. If you can't afford them based on your income get a 2nd job or do freelancing. This strategy is killing it for me and my friends now, forget about social bookmarking, directories and all that crap.
