Getting a VPS - HELP!

    I just signed up for a VPS and now need to have it configured. I am leaning toward CentOS over Redhat on the advise of an acquaintance. Any suggestions?

    I am leaning toward Plesk over CPanel because it is said to be more secure and it is cheaper.

    Also, right off the bat, what other software should I have installed? I know I need Imagemagic, mod_rewrite, and curl but what else?

    Thanks

    They are two different things.

    Plesk = Windows hosting
    Cpanel = Unix hosting

    When you get a vps, either you or your provider (if it is managed) configure it the way you want it.

    A Vps cant be without OS and you cannot change OS,but you can install whatever else you want.

    thanks, for the response

    obviously you choose an OS when you sign up. I thought this was a reasonable question to ask.

    I chose CentOS with CPanel. I asked it to be secured for me and have curl, mod_rewrite and Imagemagik. Anything else?
