Hi, My site page rank is now 3. If i change my site html to wordpress means my page rank will be decrease or wont change it.
Should be OK if you use 301 redirects on any URL changes. But there is only really one way to find out, but just make sure any pages that are PR3 (as it is obviously so important to you) are made 301's.
If he was talking about home page, then obviously. But perhaps he wasn't talking abou the obvious. But then I suppose I assumed nobody would ask such a dumb question about just the index page.
When someone says his/her page rank is X. Ain't we considering the homepage? Well, you're right. That's a dumb question anyway.
Yeah, I was just assuming nobody would be asking a question on just the index page which of course makes no odds, so likely my bad for thinking nobody would ask something that obvious. I was assuming the question was about changes for pages from html to php as the OP said about html pages.
So you saying about each different locations? Then like the Decoder and Patco said, you have to 301 Redirect. But I'm not sure that it will pass the full juice.
I guess, if your domain is pagerank 3 and will be changed to wordpress I do not think it will be reduced .. cmiiw
HI ! 301 is good option. but still you have doubt then you can Test the move process by moving the contents of one directory or sub-domain first. Then use a 301 Redirect to permanently redirect those pages on your old site to your new site. Once this is complete, check to see that the pages on your new site are appearing in Google's search results. When you're satisfied that the move is working correctly, you can move your entire site.
Switching content can affect PageRank when domains are transferred, as Google knows a new person has bought the site. With that said, I'm buying sites, throwing up WordPress, and adding content that has NOTHING to do with the previous owner's sites, and I have not had PR go down yet. Sooo, you should be fine. Def. 301 redirect any pages that are changing URLs though.
