For me, it is y6.org that I sold it for $1100 at Sedo Aucion. I has been in this industry for about 10 months so far. I acquired this domain by someone who got my email from a few domains that I listed at GoDaddy, and he searched for me from "WhoIs." I got some profit for this transaction even though it was not that huge. It is not a big accomplishment, but I am still glad that it was my first largest sale in my life and still is! I had sold things online before even before I came to the domain business. I have been selling other domains on Sedo too, but I didn't get much, though. Sometimes I even lose my money there. Anyway, it's good to learn from mistakes, but hopefully the mistakes are smaller ones. How about your story? You don't have to tell the name of the domain if it is confidential.
Hey, you guys don't need to tell the story! It's just fine to write the domain and the highest sale. =)
I have never sold any domain for over a few hundreds, but the funny thing is that later I have found these domains for sales for a few thousands, then later I have been able to recover them at a regular registration price.
Do you mean the domain y6.org that I sold? lol! Your buyers just wanted to re-sell them for a few thousands. Once they could not do it, they just dropped the domains! It's like you rented your domains to them for a few hundreds!
I just flipped at domain for $6k. Anyone can do it but you need a simple strategy and invest in what you know. I wrote a detailed blog post on how to flip a domain for profit here: http://www.dnhow.com/6k-domain-flip/ Another tip is to keep track of DNJournal's weekly sales. It keeps you motivated and also is useful for showing end users how much domains sell for. Hope this helps.
Thank you very much for your willingness to share here! It is very helpful! I would suggest that you post a thread on the DP's domain forum as well if you want to. I'm sure that it would be one of the most popular threads! Actually, I registered a great .com domain last year, and I found out from Adwords Keyword Tool that the Local Monthly Searches in USA is 550,000! Would you mind if I PM you for your advice? I will not sell it to you, though. Thank you again!
97 000 $, but I bought this domain at 1994 where you can get many, many nice names. I hold it nearly 10 years. Registeration fee was 100 $+
Actually I just found out that it is only the "exact match" that matters. The number 550,000 is the broad match, and the exact match is only 140.
I have only sold a few for a couple hundred. However, I have some big domains on my hands right now that will be bringing thousands to the table for me.
I was the original owner of a website that a shoe company purchased from me in 2005. I sold the domain for $50,000
Right now I am selling one 6 years old single word domains and my BIN is $12K on Flippa.. Hope I will sale it, as BID has reached $500 till now.
Couple of hundreds, from sedo on a LLLL.com domain i was not active at domain industry, That industy is highly competitive now
Around $500... cant remember the exact price. However, I recently had an offer of $12,000 for a domain but I decided not to sell
You got a good deal, but I'm glad that you got out from that industry, though. Many of the porn stars usually have short lives because they get some diseases. I hope that these women and men are free from bondage! Just some thoughts!
