Hello guys,I would like to share with you one little tip ... I am using for over 1 year now. I will explain you , how do I find out if a website is in sandbox or not This tip is useful when you need to known if your website is really in sandbox or is just no ranking well because you don't have inaf back links, relevant content ,etc All you have to do is to compare to searches one is : allinanchor:"keyword" and other is a simple: keyword (in google serps of course) Of course that for allinanchor:"keyword" you will get little results, but don't worry (some times not even the first 1000) but don't worry , because they are the top ranked pages See this : http://www.google.com/search?source...L:2006-42,GGGL:en&q=allinanchor:"funny+stuff" and this : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-42,GGGL:en&q=funny+stuff&btnG=Search The top websites are ranking very good in both of cases, but if a website is in sandbox it will rank very well for allinachor:"keyword" but not for a normal keyword . If is not ranking well for both , then the real problem is "not inaf links" (or not inaf links + sandbox ) I hope this will help all new bies, green is appreciated
I am very sure, i discovered with it many sandboxes websites, and i always have been right... and could very easy predict on what # the website will be after the sandbox will expire Also another way is to check results from others search engines (you may use a tool i created - www.geoseo.com - and compare the results from Yahoo/MSN to Google ones... IF you rank well in Yahoo/MSN and not in google then it could be sandbox in 95% of cases ( and in 1% of cases you are banned , in 1% you got a webhosting problem *,etc ) * Please take care of what webhosting company you use. Google don't crawl all hosting... diferents reasons I had a client who used some IBM servers, and google was filtered by default (from the firewall or something like that) , and google and others spiders weren't able to access the WWW pages, only real people... The idea of filtering traffic and only allowing human , is not always so good... Also some web hosting companies could have their IP banned (more offen by Yahoo then Google!!!) , and any website residing on that IP won't be crawled. some hosting put cookies to track the visitators (specially the free hosting services, but not just them)... and many others reasons... the reasons are many... an drunk server admin that don't known anything about SEO indsutry ,etc... will say "Google is eating so much of the bandwidth , and what for?! " [Most guys don't known the power of search engines, my ex-girl friend never get it, and never get why people hire me for S.E.O ?! or buy links from me as mads, lol ]
I honestly do not believe in the existence of the google sandbox. I blogged about it recently, feel free to read my views and comment.
Sorry but you are way off base here as the search engines use different search algorithims and values and as such it it like trying to compare a house made of bamboo, with one made of wood & nails, with one made of concrete block & masonary. No comparison is fair or accurate. Besides it has been shown that websites are not sandboxed but need to establish trust before results will show. New sites can often rank within a month for relatively low competition keywords and may take months to over a years time, to rank for high competition terms. Hope this helps
ok, but we can call this still a sandbox?! and afterall, it's really true that if you want to get out of sandbox you must to : 1) get lot of quality backlinks 2) wait some months Whatever, it is... we still call it, by it's codename SANDBOX and most of us call this SANDBOX? Sounds like everyone is saying the same thing Sound like
i dont believe there is such thing as "the sand box", and as a test of this, i made a brand new site, with 1 backlink on my pr3 site, and it was indexed in 2 days. and is already working up to page 1 results
Well surely you are saying you must perform optimisation to get good results. Maybe we sould call it codname OPTIMISATION
may I known for what keywords?! your website name?! lol, even a 5 years old website won't rank to high to high for a very competitive keyword with 1 PR3 backlink, lol
Sanbox exists for Targeted terms , you will not find your site sanboxed for your company name as keyword LOL This is why you saw yourself on page 1 LOL
So, it exists because the website is not acheiving results for generic competitive phrases. Sounds like a cop out to me Go and listen to the podcasts where Matt Cutts pretty much laughs at the mere mention of sandbox.
Well not sure about volume of links ...however I will agree the links you do get must be high quality. As for the term Google Sandbox This at one time was a Google Adwords tool ......so that is why some of us never agreed to such a term being used within organic seo results. Also as was mentioned earlier this supposed sandbox was what many so called SEO Experts used as a crutch when they could not rank a clients site and had no idea Google needed to develop some trust in a website before handing out upper page results.... amazingly enough this phenomea is still not understood by many today. Hope this makes some sense....
