It is kinda. While crawling, Google may find your content similar to a competitor of yours, so it may decrease your website ranking to increase theirs.
I think this is useful not harmful if you are using best spinner tool and check grammar and sentence manually before posting. Make sure your content should more than 75% uniqueness.
Google can't say if this article is yours... So this CANNOT happen, but this will NOT help you for SEO because the "same" spinned article could be already posted on another website... Just be sure to write an unique article each time... You could use only 5 QUALITY articles to boost your website, you do NOT need low quality 500 articles!
One think more my suggestions is use only 5 or less spun content because more than 5 times spinning make content meaning less and will uniqueness down. If you use Copyscape tool for check uniqueness more best for you. Hope get help.
You are forgetting that time is the key of determining things. Google determines which article was posted first and automatically crawls the second one as low quality or as we like to call it "copied" Greetings
Spun content won't give you any benefit these days, even you are using it for link building purposes, some popular web 2.0 sites won't let you post this kind of content, if you post on other low quality web 2.0 site then you may not get any SEO benefit, you may not get any traffic, consequently it is not going to help you in any manner.
Yes, content spinner tool use for submissions work only not for your website content. Website content should be always high quality and unique.
Even you are using for submission works, it is not helpful, if those pages won't be liked be Google then how would you get the result.
