As long as you are selling links on your own sites, it's fine.

If you don't have a site, you can't sell links here because you would need a site to sell links on.

What about link agents who have authority to sell links on other sites? I mean I know people who have over 250+ website where they can place links, but still doesn't own them. They do this through partnership and affiliation. What about them? Are you weeding them out completely?

Pardon my ignorance. I am back to DP after a bit long time.

Posting links for sale requires the seller verify ownership of the domain they are selling links on. If they can do that, sure... if not, they just wouldn't be able to post it since verification is required now.

Wait a minute. I am selling backlinks. For backlinks, why should i need ownership. You mean if i have to place link on squidoo etc . I have to take the permission from them.

Shawn - There was a whole lot of activity on BST link section. With this change I believe this would have significantly reduced. The above comment makes sense - Why would you need to confirm ownership when you have the ability to place links?

If at all you are thinking to reduce fake folks selling links and cheating their way up, I have a suggestion. Why joy create a script that scrolls through the HTML of the page to make sure links are delivered. Then include this date to funnel feedback mechanism. Would you be interested to do something like this?

Or if you are trying to come out of the Google slap that DP had couple of years back, I can understand the rationale behind this. Let us know anyways...

    Google slap? Huh?

If someone can place links on the site, they should be able to verify they have some sort of control of it.

In the end buying/selling links is a pretty silly service on both ends.
