Are you talking about spam links on a webpage, spam links on comments, spam links on a forum... or where?

If you are talking about detecting bad quality links pointing to your website, yes there is plenty of software out there, some more accurate than others, but all of them can flag up false positives and negatives, there is no better way than to manually check your backlinks before you go on a rampage to get them removed.

Forums, there is always add ons and other measures to prevent spam.

Blog comments, plenty of plug ins etc to combat spam.

    Give us more details..

Good answer besty but I get the inkling he might be asking about ways to detect ones he already has, though I could be wrong of course.

Yes, I think he's referring to detecting spam backlinks on his site. If so, then there's no other way to go around it but to check each of those backlinks.

    Have a good day!

If you give a look at your list of backlinks then you would be able to know which links are of low quality..

Some backlink checkers may tell you page rank, anchor text etc.. this way you can short the data.

Yeah if thats the case, i recommend "link detox" from link research tools... Reason: you can check your links in majestic, ahrefs etc etc, but they all only give you portions of your full backlink profile.. Link Detox combines 22 link data sources giving you a much more comprehensive list to work with, it then checks your links and flags any ones that are suspicious or toxic and tells you why... it also lists out the site master contact details so you can contact them and ask for removal, its a handy bit of kit... i like it.

you can check through majesticseo and see the backlinks that are pointing to your websites which have a small citation flow and a small traffic flow. Find them and after that disavow them

But in my opinion, if GW Tools is not telling you that you have bad links pointing to your site you don,t have to worry
