Well... Because people unfollowed you. That's not abnormal really. In fact that's pretty much what Twitter is right? You follow and unfollow people, and people follow and unfollow you. That's why you have to post engaging tweets, to get them to 'stay tuned in'.
Well, it's normal dude, a quite effective way to avoid being unfollowed is follow back everyone who follow you. Good luck!
It depends how you gained these followers. If these are just follow exchanges, make sure you follow back.
Either you were very annoying in your tweets, or some of your followers were spam bots and they're gone now. Or you twitter followers are actually a purchased ones?
That's because some of your followers (irrelevant ones) followed you hoping that you'll follow them back. And even if you follow them back, those bastards will unfollow you because you won't know this and they consider this as a win These are the consequences of irrelevant follows.
You cannot.. If people don't like you, they just don't.. The only thing you can do is to turn on auto follow, tweet something interested and don't spam and people won't unfollow you to much but still someone they will be ones..
There's also another reason for all these unfollows. For the weekend I lost about 100 followers of twitter and about 50 on facebook. And it is mainly because I haven't posted nothing on my pages or accounts. So, I'm sure, these ex-followers somehow saw some of my older posts, or they saw my pages and, as there wasn't any information or posts, they simply unfollowed me. For over 8 months, when I'm not posting in weekends, followers leave. So, it's just a thing you may take in consideration.
That big a drop is pretty unusual. How did you get those followers? Did you post anything in those four days? I might lose a couple of people a week, but nothing like that drop.
hello dear : i feel you are very experience in twitter wish you give me more tips about twitter specially lists dont have any 1 in my list in my internet marketing job :)
It happens to me. Some days I can lose up to 40 followers. Usually because they really don't like my tweets! Hahahahhaha... Actually, if you use services to get twitter followers, most will follow you to get points so they can get followers. And once they get the points, they tend to drop. So it is a numbers game.
Keep them tweets comming daily. And it depends on the topic you are tweeting on. If you tweet everything - people will come and go.
Forgive my ignorance, but then what is the purpose of seeking after the followers, unless you just want bragging rights as to who has amassed the most. It sounds, from reading this thread like he who dies with the most toys wins. Or is it all related to monitizing your tweets, so you need more to make more?
You probably lost your followers because your tweets are boring to them.. It is a normal thing.. Like in life, if you are bored to someone, he won't talk to you...
