Is the google disavow tool working for you?

    I tried the google disavow tool when it was first released last year. I had submitted 90% of my links to be ignored.

    When I login to google webmasters I still see the number of links like before. How do I know if the tool worked or not? Will the remove the ignored links from google webmasters?

    And there was me thinking Google disavow tool was mostly to save Google money by getting others to work for them for free... my bad I must have misundertood :)

    Well it may take some time till you'll notice some results. As I know it may take about 2-3 weeks or even 1-2 months, depends on the site and the number of bad backlinks.

    as I said I submitted the links when they released the tool. I think that was in 2012.
