I'm doing keyword research to establish some sites, and I was wondering how accurate the numbers given by Google ad words research tool are? for example if you search for the word "physics" these are some of the results you get in a row and I'm not sure that those keywords should get the exact same number of monthly searches I've noticed this in both exact and phrase match types "physics notes" Low 40,500 "physics letters" Low 40,500 "conceptual physics" Low 40,500 "aqa physics" Low 40,500 "solid state physics" Low 40,500 "physics projects" Medium 40,500 how then should I use these numbers??
It is more accurate than ever before. Of course with the large number of queries to search engines these stats are estimate. In my opinion these figures can be regarded as limits hits for the current phrase. Google keyword tool is useful for suggesting words and I use it myself in this way.
The only way to get accuracy is to use more than one keyword tools (also 3rd party ones) and compare results. Using only one service is too much limiting.
The thing with "low" competition, it doesn't mean you entering it and getting 1st place. Google actively encourages competition, I mean, it's in their best interest to draw people to bid on keywords in the belief those keywords are "Easy To Get". Trust you actual campaign data, as far as you can throw it, keyword tool disappointed me a lot of times.
It's the same with SEO Low frequency of search volume does not always relate to value of term. You could have a lot of "Jusin Bieber Naked" searches and earn a few cents from adsense clicks and only ever earn so much or you could have "web designer your town" and earn a few hundred from 1 click, if you get my drift.
This is not accurate actually, Tome Green replied better than others. Google adword tool is used for Bids and PPC matter, Which is Google commercial/revenue department. It tell about the past report of particular keywords in bidding. Some time we have long tail keywords and many people search these keywords. But Google don't show results about them, because Bidders don't bid on these keywords. But in real world , these keywords exist. As tom said that if Google is showing low completion that it does not mean that it will come fast in SERP. Keyword- Resume Global Searches- 24,900,000 Competition- 0.35 Who can give me grantee that if i will have domain with resume keyword then how much time it will take to come on rank 1st page. Google adword make us fool and we are becoming. SEO keyword analysis on guess or idea based. All gives the idea.
Google Adwords tools gives you the exact and phrase matches, have you checked from all in title for your keywords then you will see the differences...i love adwords tool to give exact less competitors to get top ten position in Google search..
Google keyword tools is, i think is perfect on my site, because i always use google adword keyword tools.
No these numbers are not accurate, but they are very close. Let’s just say that it is safe to do your keywords research on the basis of these numbers.
