    "Domain authority" is just something made up by SEOmoz now Moz

    Just Google "Domain Authority" to see the post in 1st position. It tells you it is just estimates made by Moz (SEOmoz)

    Of course, DA has also its on algorithm and it tells strength of a domain name as well so it is not bad, you can think that it is added benefit for you as few years before you may not be seeing DA, it was recently developed..

    I have faith in Moz's domain authority. Their algorithm seems pretty set, I've always found it useful comparing my DA to my competitors.

    I'm on the same boat. I really don't know how to appreciate Domain authority. I've read somewhere that it's PR or pagerank that matters when it comes to backlinks although I'm not sure if that's related here.

    So same question, I have a site that's just sitting on the site but it has some high DA (50). I did not know until a friend of mine showed me this.
