How to get top 10 results on Google

So today I finally got something I have been trying to do for a while and have many other instances of "almost" the top ten.

You likely think I am referring to a top ten Google result yes?

Well no what I mean is all the top ten Google results for a search phrase. That's the whole first page, the complete top ten results.

Now the search term in this particular instance is nothing to write home about and it's only one small part of a huge long term project but here is the top ten Google page owned with every one of the top ten presently (not for long now though that I have posted this LOL) occupied by my links (that is my websites).

Now the funny thing is this. There has been no link building done whatsoever other than my sites linking to each other, all on the same hosting.

There was no .edu or .gov linking involved, no guest blogging, no directory submissions, no search engines submissions, no blog commenting, no forum posting (well unless you count DP and my own forum), no external link building of any sort other than within my own network of websites.

Now although it is not a very searched term by any means it is what I call a "cherry picker" search term. What this means is it is a term that can potentially get thousands in revenue from having just one CEO search it rather than say a few cents from clicks from Adsense clicks by being a much more searched term.

So anyone else got a whole page 1 of Google search results owned at all yet?

Obviously it won't all last as others will no doubt knock a few of the results down but nevertheless it is nice to have finally today got a whole top ten blanket of the first page.

Now do you know how I did it?

Simply by seeking to provide the best answer to the search query...

I have to admit it made me smile today to see I finally got a complete top ten on Google though tbh, no matter that it is, as many would say, a not very searched for phrase, as after all it's only a small part of a huge amount of other inter related terms which are part of the same plans..

My smile will not last long, no doubt, but it was a nice sense of achievement nevertheless.

well I think that your rel author helped you a lot

and I really think that this is not quite seo best practice because there is a lot of keyword stuffing. Anyway, that just means that everything that google says is bullsh1t :)

Rather strangely not so in this case, you ought to go and take a read on Cutts blog and see what is and is not keyword stuffing and what is plain targeting in order to beat the competition but doing so carefully so as not to over do it.

Though a bit off toopic tbh as the point was it's content that beats chasing things like .edu links and the likes
