Hello everyone, I am creating a website, www.knowledger.info , it is a website that provides all sorts of knowledge. General knowledge, Science knowledge or even current news. So far I have around 5 articles. I have very little traffic. My aim is to get enough renevue from advertisements on the website to get money to my paypal account. Anyone have any suggestions on how I should improve?
Read as many posts here as you can, and put all the good advice into practice To start with, get a lot more articles and do some promotion such as directory submissions.
for starters, i would suggest you don't try too many things at one go. just focus on doing 2 things: 1. get more content 2. get more backlinks - [a] the more relevant, the better from more established sites, the better good luck!
Get the content before you get the traffic, otherwise people will come to the site and then leave because it's empty. It sounds like you're trying to compete with Wikipedia, so you have an uphill struggle. Why not focus the knowledge you are offering - this will decrease the amount of content you need, but will increase the chances of the site actually become a useful resource that people will return to. I used to run a programming community that grew via word of mouth to over 400 uniques a day, just because I offered lots of info about a specific niche.
i won't suggest you to get much revenue now,first work on your good articles and traffic ,revenue will follow your way.

Well said. As mentioned, work on getting quality and unique content. Dont worry to much about making money yet, it will hurt you in the long run.
