Hello, my name is David Hall and I’m a 25-year-old professional Blogger. When I first started blogging I never even considered making a living from it and neither should you. Let me take you back in time…. At the age of fifteen I was introduced to the internet by my uncle, a very smart man and a very cool uncle indeed. The internet was a whole new world to me; I didn’t know where to start. It wasn’t long after this that I wanted my own website; I dabbled with Microsoft FrontPage, managing to write a bit of text and then eventually publish it to the web. This was the start of blogging for me; however, it wasn’t called ‘blogging’ at the time. That term has come from the word “web logâ€. Football was my main interest, I wrote football news as a hobby and as the site grew so did my desire to keep on writing and writing, I didn’t care about money, I was about sixteen years old and my parents were paying the pocket money. Years later Google announced their Adsense program. I was working in a hotel part-time, washing pots, preparing veg, no, it wasn’t great but it paid. As time went on I started reading about Adsense and decided to implement it on my websites. I starting off making small amounts, a few dollars a day in fact, but I was happy with it, why wouldn’t I be? I’d never expected to make any money online. I started reading about Adsense and began participating in forums, I read more and more intently and started to optimize my advertisements, that’s when it happened, I was gob-smacked, excited and anticipating making even more money. The day I optimized my ads my earnings increased by 50x, this was when I really started to wonder ‘what would happen if I put all my efforts into this’. A couple of months later, I left my job at the hotel and put my efforts into blogging. To go to university or not was then a tough decision for me, however I did go and was one of the few students not to take a loan out.
Check my sig. However, if your talking about the blogs that I run which provide me with this sort of income then I'm sorry but I won't be disclosing that. It's happened before where I've told people my blog and they end up going on a massive click attack, I'm not going through all that again.
if that story is true, then i salute you. but i do find it a little difficult to swallow - a blog that generates $xxx, xxx in income?
Please note that I am not talking about $xxx, xxx a month. I am stating that I have made that over the 'great' time that I've been blogging.
Install something to prevent click bombing. Unless you show us your blog or a photo of your cheques how can we verify your earnings?
I don't see why he should have to disclose his blogs. A lot of people have been making claims as to how they earn this and that but never make theiir sites public, so I guess its no different in this case. You can tell us how much you make though.
I know of a few blogs that make $xxx, xxx a month, so even if you were talking per month it's definitely believable, and certainly doable. I just checked out your blog. Real nice looking and lots of good info! Thanks for the link! Contrats for your success so far!
To be honest I didn't expect this many people to be questioning it all. This was just meant as a nice story to inspire others in this forum who are aiming high. I'd be stupid to reveal my exact earnings, the blogs I work on and so on. But here's some of my stats for 1 of the best months for 1 blog..
you have to expect this here , they're a very dubious bunch...lol congrats mate keep going , youll be in a Ferrari before you know it
I'm inclined to be less sceptical about David's earnings, because the blog seems pretty well written, clear and to the point. If he can do that with 5 other blogs, and update them regularly, why shouldn't they be popular and earn him wads of cash?
