Would you use a free SEO app which creates a "fake" traffic?

Here is the main idea: you install a free, web-browser like application that can surf websites automatically. Then you add a couple of your websites and let the app visit them periodically along with websites of other users. If, for example, there will be a thousand of users, you will get up thousand website visitors per day with different IPs, from different regions and so on.

So would you use such app? If wouldn’t, please explain why. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

If you're hoping to use this to rank better with Google it won't work.
They're very much aware of the ability to fabricate traffic to a site.
You can even pay a very small amount for 'millions' of visitors per month from pseudo advertisers pretending to send you valid traffic.

I could write a php script that uses hundreds of public proxies to fabricate traffic coming from different IP addresses.

The only time I've seen anything like this technique used was to scam Google Ad Sense and other pay per click stuff on sites. The only other use as described above is to sell 'traffic' to paying Website owners telling them the traffic will increase their sales. Of course this would be a scam because the 'traffic' wouldn't be real.

No because that is just plain stupid. Automated traffic is no use to man nor dog.

No, I wouldn't recommend anyone use it. The point of traffic is conversions and there are no conversions from fake traffic. I don't see the benefit of using something like this.

Whats the point! When you don't make any sales and there will be no conversion at all.. The main purpose of traffic is to bring in conversion!
