strategies of SEO

i want to rank my website highest in the search engine... bt i'm a bit confused on the strategies of On page and Off page SEO that are compatible with the algorithms of Google... .. could you please guide me... so that my problem gets solved...

In SEO strategy, these are the main points:

Quality
Continuous work
Slow link building naturally
Focus on a niche

 

There are lots of sites presents on Google like Seomoz etc only if you have Googled them..
