Hie friends, I want to know your suggestion about this query..Hope every one here will reply to this thread and share views.. Thanks in Advance..
People would be forced to use other services from Microsoft or Yahoo as examples. They would then get huge boosts in traffic and would probably have to provide more services to properly harness their newly found traffic. - YouTube would disappear and some other service would likely replace/replicate the old YouTube. - No G-mail, so more people using Hotmail or Yahoo! Mail. - No AdSense - Would probably revive Yahoo! Publisher Network and Microsoft's equivalent. It would probably suddenly bring AdBrite back in the game. - No AdWords - Would probably revive Yahoo! Advertising Solutions and Microsoft's equivalent. Let's just say there are enough companies out there to take over what Google provides and certainly enough competition. Could they do it as well as Google? Probably not, but then you as the consumer wouldn't know or would be forced to use those poorer services.
Shortly, most of the web space will get better as user experience thanks to the better competition, which is lacking now. Longer.... Also, in regard of search results, these will get better as the other search engines are currently not in a position where they can manipulate their results in order to spam with ads, along with the so called quality results (empty pages and expired domains) as google does. I do not see it disappearing soon, but it is up to the visitors after all, not webmasters...we will survive way away after them and without them. I believe Adsense is the first one to die. More and more people are becoming ad-blind and if I wasn't so lazy I would have removed these from my sites already...
Ya ya April is not over... A big loss to many Internet websites and to people providing services based on It, like SEO's... So many will loose there Income. Many Business houses will collapse.. A huge amount or Data loss. New services, but with not very good integration will start coming... Will loose many imp mails (Personal and Businesses). And many many things what we can not thought now.
One thing would likely be that lot's of people would buy exact match domains as they use Bing more and discover how stupid it is and how exact match domains are easy to make rank high...
There are alternative of Google but those are alternatives and I think, mainly the consumers will suffer.
Most likely Encyclopedias and Libraries would still rule the world of information search and retrieval.
If Google and the other search engines vanish or doesn't exist anymore, social media sites like Facebook and Twitter will certainly take its position, followed by online advertising. These two will definitely be the top two forms of online marketing which can help in getting traffic, sales and eventually conversions.
Well then switch to Yahoo or Bing. If those 3 major search engine disappeared then throw your PC and i'll throw my pc too.
What are you guys discussing. Search Engines are one of the most important part of Internet Technology, how can you say that Search Engines can be disappeared.
Well it is not possible but there is substitute for all the things in this world, world doesn't stop when something gone closed it's chapter. Yahoo bing and baidu, these three are still in the market.
There is no doubt Google is king but if Google shutdown so lots of search engines already available like Bing etc.
Don't you guys think linking Google with only/ mainly with Search is too much of Injustice.. Google means a Lot more than that, Though the good thing is this is just the Question and not the reality.
Everything that Google does, many other sites pick up on and do their own service of the same kind. If Google disappeared, people would just use those other services
i would expect 1000 threads on every forum crying over the loss of their adsense checks, and within 6 months everyone would have moved to similar services and it would be as if google never exisited.
If Google disappeared tomorrow, life would go on. It might feel strange, but it wouldn't look that much different. Those that use google"s services would suffer a period of adjustment. There is already competition waiting in the wings to pick up the pieces, the most obvious being Bing. If it were to happen, it wouldn't be the first time a well known company failed and won't be the last time. But it won't.
