    Hi guys,

Can you please help me, I want to start off to make a website to design my own tv channels with menu list. I would like to make 6 rectangle boxes to allow me to use the keyboard arrows button to move up and down to mouseover on each box without using the mouse point, not sure if I would need textboxes. And I am not sure that if I would need to code html or flash development.

The website I want to make like this:
     http://labs.worldtv.com/tv
    Code (markup):
Can you please suggest me what development (html or flash) would be the best for me to make a website like the one I post the link on above?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

If you know a little HTML you can make a slider exactly like this in less than 20 minutes.
Right Click on the page and you get the html code. Just replace the image source and link references.

I would recommend to use definitely HTML. I agree with "Themes4all" Try to use Wordpress platform. You can change easily any things in your website. Take a look this free wordpress theme.

You can make it using HTML and jQuery (the site you showed used Mootools & Mooflow - they are a javascript framework and its plugin respectively). Never ever use flash!

i thought it was used on flash. if I add the images on the webpage to mouseover them, how i can display next page in one page like flash?

I don't want to make a slider like that. I want to make a website to add the list of images to allow me to click each of them to display each page quick like flash. do you know how i can display the next page in one page like flash and how i can mouseover on the images?

Do I have to use flash or html that i want to disable mouse cursor while i can move the boxes on up, down, left and right arrow buttons on the keyboard and i want to watch streaming videos through on flash?

the reason i want to do this is because i'm planning to make my own epg website for my personal use only and nobody else will access to my website, only me.

If i have to use flash, how i can disable the mouse cursor, how i can move the highlight on the boxes using with keyboard arrows button and how i can extra the information from a 3rd party website to input on my website?

I would strongly recommend you to go for HTML/CSS instead of flash. Because flash contents need flash plugins in the browser to be installed else won't work at all as it is not necessary that all viewers have the flash player installed in their system.

I think HTML5 is the future for what it regards websites. Flash and other adobe tools will be always here pushing the limits of other type of applications. I prefer HTML5 is best to use while designing a website. One can easily beat flash by HTML5. HTML5 is also use in RWD i.e Responsive Web Designing.Websites shouldn't be done in Flash, especially since Apple devices don't support the technology. Generally Flash website locking is very well. But if you are planning search engine optimization flash is not useful for SEO. The main advantages of HTML 5 animations over Flash would be that HTML 5 content can be easily spidered and read by search engine bots, which Flash files cannot. The Flash extension is not supported in all devices such as iPhones and is prone to a lot of browser.

Flash is dying. Unsupported by Apple, unsupported by the latest Android, and now unsupported by Adobe themselves. If you build something in flash, your site will be useless to nearly 40% of visitors and.

It's a shame, really. Was so much easier to launch a video with a Flash player than to have to encode in 4 different formats for true cross-browser compatibility.

But Jobs was right about Flash causing the most problems with crashing pages and non loading pages and all that sort of stuff to. It does look nice though :)
