Google Disavow question

    Hi,

I was wondering why our company website dropped dramatically in ranking and discovered that our old SEO company submitted tons of links even good and relevant ones to Google Webmaster Tool to disavow them.

My question now would be is there any way ( even a tiny tiny chance ) to reverse this???

Any help would be really great.

Check this out. Hope it helps.

"Even though, as Dr. Pete has mentioned, Google does have a re-submission process for links which were accidentally disavowed, it could still take weeks for search traffic to return to normal, costing thousands in lost revenue."

That's a dirty trick to play. But then this is why a person needs to be careful who they hire as that's just not nice.

Yeah, shows why you shouldn't pay for SEO. It was probably a 5 dollar gig on fiverr :p

Joking aside, the google disavow tool can be reversed but it takes a long time. Once the links are "disavowed" they are supposed to be permanently ignored by google spiders when they index and rank your site. To reverse this process is not a good time

I appreciate that it takes a long time but what is the process. I can't find it anywhere and nobody tells me.
Sadly it wasn't a fiverr job. It was actually a very reputable company in the UK with many large corporate clients. Looks like they just didn't care about us.

So a reputable company pulled a dirty trick like disavowing your links. That is the action of a chastised child and is no way to conduct business.

Out them I say and RE the problem you have to do it through Google and the usual channels it (Google) specifies and as others have mentioned it takes time. aehosting posted info on others experiences > http://www.seomoz.org/blog/googles-disavow-tool-take-a-deep-breath#jtc197989 in that regard

That's sad, but you cannot stick with it. You need to go ahead with building new links for your website site and its pages. In the meantime, do initiate a disvow reversal. Once it's approved and accepted by Google, it's anyways going to benefit your website.
But for now, you'd probably need to work hard to build high-quality niche oriented backlinks from authoritative websites. So, all the best ! :)

If domain name change is possible than make htaccess 301 forwarding from old domain to new. You will
keep current ranks, but there is a very big chance to get back initial ranks. Put this htaccess file into old domain main folder.

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.yournewdomainname.com/$1 [R=301,L]

I'm sorry but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Redirecting an entire website (no matter if its 301) to an entirely new domain isn't a good solution imho. Links drop at-times, that doesn't mean you keep re-directing a site everytime when that happens. You need to work on building new one's, that's probably the best way to regain benefits.
