Hi, I recently asked in another thread about receiving money from pakistan to india but after reading comments on dp forums i decided not to receive payment from pakistan in india. Now my question is : If sender sends payment of $30,000 to $100,000 from poland(europe) to india through bank transfer does indian receiver needs to pay any taxes or sender pays the tax ? Please reply with 100% technical knowledge that you are sure. Thanks.
Remember one thing U cant receive wire more than 2500$ in a single transaction . U need to update your pan card in your bank . Bank may ask you the reason for payment u have to submit declaration. and yes u have to pay tax for this income .
but i heard only sender needs to pay tax from europe and receiver (indian) doesnt need to pay taxes regardless of any amount receive. also how can i save tax ? any ideas ?
That's correct, the sender would need to bear the tax and I suppose you receiving that amount would be non-taxable. But, I'd still suggest you to get that confirmed from your solicitor and the Bank authorities to avoid any hassles.
how much tax i would need to pay for $100,000 receiving in india if i am charged tax ? because i am selling website and the sender said i will not have to pay taxes in india.
i dont know where to contact, common if someone can get information for this post then please post it as it will help other users of DP.
I think, it will be taxed, I suggest you to consult tax consultant regarding this,he will be able to give you proper information.
can you tell me on 100,000 USD how much indian government will deduct tax ? 30% of it ? or 40% of it ?
