Hello. I own math site http://www.emathhelp.net Basically it is site that contains math notes, user can post questions. Calculators will be made in the future. It gives approximately 400 unique visitors per day. What is the best way to monetize such kind of site? I tried adsense and it gave $3 per day, but now earnings dropped down to $0.2. I think that adsense can be not very good for such site. I thought about affiliate marketing, but can't find appropriate products to promote. All suggestions and thoughts are welcomed. Thank you.
Try to promote clickbank products, there are some edu products memory boost products or how to learn math would be good
The best way to monetize a site is to develop and sell a product or service related to your content In your case, here are the best options I can imagine for a product: a math textbook - organize all of your content into an ebook math textbook and sell it for a low price. Whenever you post a new article, mention the book as a tool where a reader who likes your free content can get more. a math course - prepare and host a course teaching a mathematical subject using video and a forum. In terms of a service: offer to do homework - if you're good at math, you can help students solve homework problems for a fee. Also... Leave the Google Ads up! You can't make a living off ads, but every extra bit helps As your site gets more popular, that income will grow as well.
What kind of demographics do you get? Are most of your visitors students or teachers? If they are teachers, you might be able to find a good affiliate program selling lesson plans. Teachers pay a lot for these (so they don't have to make their own). Might be worth checking into...
Hi, I can suggest you an educational affiliate program. They provide homework help etc. I use it for my educational traffic. affiliatewriting. com If you have any question pm me.
I see that you allow users to post math problems. How about allowing users to continue to post problems for free but adding the option to jump the line and have your math problem answered in 24 hours for $10 via paypal. If you have the time to answer the questions I think those payments could add up.
clickbank and amazon will be one of the good option, sell those math related book will be good enough
You could create a product. A math study guide for various levels. Quick study guide sheets. You could sell mentor time( consulting) You could sell an ebook with a collection of your posts.
if you are a prodigy in Math, then you could offer to solve math problems for a fee via Skype. You could also offer online tution to students for a small fee. However, if you are not in Math yourself, then your site will have to rely on relevant affiliate programs from various sources. Enhancing your existing site with more interesting Math related topics/content and promoting the site to drive traffic to it, is essential. All the monetization will produce better results when there's more traffic to your site. Hope this helps. Best Wishes
I would say that know the reason why your Adsense earning dropped, as Adsense is good for this kind of site.
Adsense, Chitika or the likes may be good only as and when there's much traffic to the site. Relevant affiliate programs available on the site provide more choices for your site's visitors. Previous respondents above have given you some very useful leads and suggestions but ultimately, you have to be the one to do your own research, finding and shortlisting the relevant affiliate programs including enhancing your Adsense placement and decision making. Each site has its own unique pros and cons. The only way to improve your site's earnings is through constant monitoring and tweaking as and when necessary. There's really no short-cut and certainly not set-and-forget if revenues is your focus and priority. As for relevant affiliate programs - you will have to find them yourself starting with Clickbank, Amazon, CJ and a host of other established Networks where you can sign up as a Publisher. Your next course of action is to start working on the many leads, advice and suggestions provided here by other fellow members. Best wishes
That is a pretty cool thing to do. There is a site that connect your students tutors. And whenever they connect you get a commission. wyzant.com is the name. Perhaps check that out.
Honestly, your best bet is to build your email marketing list. Build a list, and then begin to promote math tutoring classes to that list. It isn't as simple as that, because you have to be a relatively decent writer to ensure your emails actually get opened, and you have to know how to sell in such a niche market. PS: Offervault has a few "math" related offers to promote that pay a few dollars per lead. You could also throw these in custom banners that say something like "get immediate math help now"
Hi, Hope this is not a late reply. I own exactly the same site except mine contains full lessons on various topics. How long have you had the site for? Your adsense revenue may have dropped because of the holidays. In the holiday you will notice a very dramatic drop in traffic I mean A REAL DROP! and therefore the revenue. The traffic may drop from 1000 to 200-300. Also on Saturday and Sundays. There is almost no traffic in April, June, July and August. So that could be an explanation for the revenue drop. Also Adsense is not very good for this type of site you may get lots of clicks but when the traffic is low there will be no difference. But when you get a lot of visitors the Ctr increases dramatically. I use another ads network and I get a lot of responses.
