I just watch this great vide Google Webmasters on "how important is it to have keywords in a domain name?" Hey reply and let me know what do you think.
Hey, I wonder how many SEO Experts believe what Mat Cutt Say. It's trial and error that runs SEO industry. Obviously, exact match domain bonus has been taken off. But still, if you have exact match domain, it helps. But google weighs exact match and no-exact match as same. EMD update was all about taking off that bonus that applied in past and people used that to rank tiny sites. Thanks for the post though, Rachel.
Hey, I am not expert. But I ranked few niche sites recently. So I know there is know disadvantage of having exact match domain. Thanks, Rachel.
I am asking because I am looking for help. I have a business that i am looking for help to rank and get more people to join. I will pm you and let me know what do you think. Thanks Rachel.
Hi there, I just posted info on keywords here: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/is-keywords-really-effective-in-domain-name.2652631/ Anyway, we can't have all the good things at the same place at the same time and for free above all that ... Success!
A keyword domain will only be effective if your overall business strategy is right. The EMD update was focused on low-quality keyword domains, rather than keyword domains in general. So quality content, legitimate backlinks (quality and legitimacy over quantity). Any site you start up needs an accompanying business plan, continually revised. Focus on long-term gains, rather than short-term (just look at the scores of blubbering webmasters now, who spammed while Google's updates and algorithms were lax), a long-term strategy of developing and marketing content.
