Easy, it's the best one that suits your needs/fits your budget. But it's hard to recommend the best without knowing what you want/your budget.
If you have a pretty big budget, the Retina MacBook Pro is a really nice computer. Fast processor, SSD, relevant graphics card. Not much else one could want. However, this machine is not user upgradeable. Whatever configure you go with, you will be stuck with. I don't currently have this current model, but I certainly do lust after it.
Toshiba's high end laptops are fairly good but their low end are garbage. If you want reliability at a decent price, then you ought to look at an Acer TravelMate. Intel Core i5-480M 2.66GHz with Turbo boost up to 2.93GHz Intel HD Graphics Up to 17.3" (1600X900)+LED LCD 4 GB DDR3 Memory 500 GB HDD DVD-Super Multi DL drive Acer Nplify 802.11b/g/n 6-cell Li-ion battery
most laptops are made by 2 or 3 manufacturars and just rebadged on the production line if you want value for money try lenovo fujitsu siemens dell low cost and ok if you want high end go for alienware
I would avoid Acer. They are nice spec and price, but usually poor build quality. Sony has gone down hill, too. However, Samsung have improved (for example, 530U3C, 540U3C and similar). For the price point, they are overall good (but not perfect). That depends on your needs, though (I don't play games, so such a laptop is very suitable for me). However, have you considered a tablet? I got an Asus TF300T and it's great for browsing the web, email, watching films (when travelling), etc. Take a look at notebookcheck.net - their own reviews are brilliant, very detailed.
Why? I've been using a laptop made by HP for the last 5 years and although I am not treating it very nicely, it is still working.
Yeah, HP aren't too bad at all. I had one for quite a few years (17" screen) and probably better than the Acer I bought a few years later (more RAM, supposedly a faster processor and better graphics). Much more solid and quieter, generated less heat. My Dad has a small (11.6" Celeron-based) laptop from HP and it's great for its purpose, another solid and quiet build (considering it was a budget one, too). @OP, as well as reading reviews, go to the shop (even if you don't buy that model from there) and test it. Check it (by touch ) for heat. Listen to the fan (try to put it under load, although difficult at a shop). Buy what you feel most comfortable with.
I had a Toshiba Satellite laptop that threw out so much heat, you could have fried an egg on it! The damn thing died (hard drive) in only 2 years after purchase.
For the very first time, i had a good laugh on your post! If you were that much heat, you could have used it in your kitchen for cooking
Hahaha, great, do the frying egg test. If it "passes", you also pass on the laptop, but get to have breakfast, too!
Yes "ONLY" one time ! I have had smiles on your posts sometimes but not laughs like I had on this post P.S : Sometimes I never get the "comedy" you try to make which I eventually understand only when you explain it to other.
You're a weird elephant leaf monster that is into computor hardware. It's a *miracle* that I was able to make you laugh even once!
Sony vaio and HP are best laptops ever. I mos telly use such laptop and i found incredible speed and execution level on such laptops. I prefer to all my colleges to buy such laptops.
