I haven't listed a domain since dp updated the forum theme. I don't know if it's just me, but I find the process to list a domain overly complicated. Why do you need to update the nameserver of the domain just to list it on the marketplace. Most of the sales is under $100 dollars anyways and they usually don't sell. This makes it extremely frustrating process to sell domains in digitalpoint. No wonder digitalpoint's domain marketplace has become so inactive.
I beg to differ on this. I have listed my most domains and the new market place is good actually. I am finding more genuine buyers and also the buyers feel secured as the domain's ownership has to be verified by the seller via the nameserver of the domain. This is a win-win situation for both buyers and sellers. New marketplace is good actually.
I don't mind the new way they count itraders but just really hate having to verify your domains. How I see it is, if you are selling a domain under $100, itrader, msg count and how long the member has joined is usually enough for me. If the sale is for like $1,000 there's always escrow. Anyways, it's good to have differing perspective, thanks for sharing.
Just you said what is on my mind.I have tried to list few domains and its very difficult and even I uploaded the html file for verification its not accepting the post.So I dropped it. Its not the theme they have changed some settings.
I am not sure what is the difficulty you guys face. If you have some, you could always post the errors/bugs you see in "Support and Feedback " Section. Mods/Admin would be able to help you out. I always list my domains by adding the "CNAME" record and it works super good!
I upload the HTML file to my server for verification and it still gives me error like "domain name could not be verified" I tried it more than 10 times and all browsers.
