True the quality of the backlinks is definitekyt very important. Backlinks from a crappy or spammy website would make you seem like a spammer to the search engines. I don't know how I forgot to include that.

there are many ways to increase visitors to a website. For example:

1) Writing useful articles with good content to article directories.

2) Posting videos on youtube or other video hosting sites. Videos that have good content or are very funny will get some attention.

Articles/videos that have good content will make the people reading it to feel like you are a guy/gal that knows his/her stuff. Then they will naturally click on the backlink in your article that will lead them to your squeeze page and where they will consider whether or not to become your subscriber.

 

The best way is to focus on one website that you have, don't use too many sites, if you get success with one site then move on to others I would say.. there are many ways to get traffics but you have to use those ways which are related to your skills so that you can promote easily.

 

Try to put the best quality content that people will share. Focus on quality and not so much on quantity. Of course quantity may be important- but that depends on the kind of website that you have. Read google guidelines about SEO.
