$10 for 1GB of RAM and a Windows license? I don't see that happening with any reliable company...any company for that matter. You can't even get those prices with Burst.net and they're pretty much bargain basement as far as prices are concerned. Good luck!
It is impossible to order a Winows VPS with your budget. You will have to increase your budget, if you really want a windows VPS. You can check myhosting.com VPS pricing and it is a Canadian company.
I was going to say the same, so my suggestion to the OP is that to stay within that budget, OP should look at Linux VPS's with a GUI installed to have remote access to a desktop interface, unless the Windows component of things was for something specific. OP should keep in mind that Wine can emulate lots of Windows apps, but perhaps not the ones needed, one should check WineHQ for more details.
I advise you to check on the disk space allocation, bandwidth, security features, traffic flow, e-mail storage capacity, and the kind of multiple domain accounts.
It is possible to get a deal like that on a Windows VPS running on KVM or Xen if you pre-pay for 3 months or longer. Microsoft allows up to 120 Days grace period. (almost 4 months)
Windows alone would cost around 14usd. But if you need just remote desktop. Ubuntu can be installed so VPS can cost you around 10usd and i can help you with that.
I second santrex.net. They have stable VPS deals in Canada with SAS drives, unmetered data transfer and unlimited CPU limit.
How could that be? They would allow one person to use unlimited CPU and bandwidth, and then everybody else has none? I bet you there are plenty of limits...there have to be, so that one person can't abuse the server.
I have seen a VPS company offer VPS with low prices under $10. I would like to give you the link but I believe you could get it by yourself. It is not because I didn't want to help you but it is because I'm afraid the VPS maybe not good for you. But I'm here not to judge whether the VPS is good or not. I have no capability to do that. I didn't want to say the company which offer VPS under $10 isn't good but it is too good to be true. However, you may search in Google for lowendbox and you'll understand what I mean. I hope it answer your questions. ARICK. Edit: I didn't want to write it here at first but I have to tell you if I use a server with same memory as you specify (different HDD and maybe other specs) using Linux cost me four times the prices you specified. However, each person has different luck. I wish you luck with your project. It would be awesome if you keep inform us on your journey on getting VPS. I believe another members will give you good answer (maybe deals) for your questions.
I can only advise you increase your budget and start using reliable VPS provider, as far as my own experience is concerned I use http://hostedfx.com for 6 months already and have only positive thoughts about them VPS Windows starts from 29,95m including 20GB DS, 400G Bandwidth, 512-16GB burstable RAM for that silly price
If you need cheap VPS, you won't find a reliable provider for $5-10 per month.I heard that Hostgator currently gives rather high uptime for their VPS servers and the prices are rather affordable, did you read reviews about them?
