I recently purchased website at: https://forums.digitalpoint.com/thr...-com-including-content.2643013/#post-18512890 The site is marked SOLD and even has a label for me to see (when logged in only) that states "Congratulations, you are the winner!". My paypal account has been connected and verified to DP as well. Is there any reason why I cannot pay through DP to Paypal to show a recording that the site has been paid for and thus show under my Profile record as well as the ability to leave feedback ratings?? Please explain.....
I see that now.....VERY misleading as there is a HUGE FONT stating it is SOLD and then Sold above the reserve not met statement. DP needs to change this! I paid for the site....so if I have issues, do I have anyone to report this to?
@Ryan....yep exactly! You got to it before I did. ;-) Anyways.....DP should change the wording of SOLD auctions that didn't meet criteria of the reserve. Honestly, this DOESN"T EVEN MAKE SENSE! How can an auction that didn't meet reserve even be sold? Yet, it's still marked as such, in many different places on that thread! ;-)
@ryan - I'll ask, but honestly.....it really doesn't matter. If they did mark it as sold manually, then the auction should NOT state anything about the reserve not being met AND most importantly, I should be able to pay via DP to Paypal, along with leaving feedback, etc. DP needs to make these changes regardless, as it is flawed.
Why shouldn't it? This (reserve not met and then the seller accepting a lower bid) is normal for auctions. Check other real life and Internet auctions, you'll find the same. It's an honest and open reflection of the sale process. How can you pay via DP if the seller doesn't set up Instant Pay? I can't see how DP is flawed. You need to take this issue up with the seller (not sure if it can be retrospectively enabled as Instant Pay or not though, but as you want it so much they should try for you). These were choices of the seller in both circumstances.
I already know about "real life auctions" buddy. I flip sites on flippa for a living, so I know a thing or two about a thing or two. I understand that the seller ended the auction on me, even though the auction reserve was not met. I also understand they did NOT setup instant pay, so I could not pay via DP to Paypal. HOWEVER, there should be some sort of way to leave feedback for both buyer and seller if the auction is closed on my bid. This is how it's done at Flippa, which as we all know, sets the industry standard for website auctions.
