New to Solo Ads - Wondering about BuildTraffic.com Email

I am joined with a new affiliate opportunity and looking to step into the Marketing stage with a solo ad. I have read a lot negative about the buildtraffic pop under trick but looking at their email option to send out a solo ad. As far as integrity goes, the pop under traffic is a def negative and there are some bad reviews. But sending emails is sending emails, as long as the database is built in a non-spammy way.

Jeanie's lowest offer is $300 for 50,000 emails with some targeting included. 95% delivery rate and 3% open rate.

I can not locate a single review about their email service and when I talked to her she seemed very knowledgeable offering strategy and specifics.

Does anyone have 2 bits to throw in?

The old adage - you get what you pay for. If I was going to be buying a solo (which I do) make sure the person has a good reputation.

I have no affiliation with this site but one that I have used is:
    Reed Floren's Solo Ad Directory

Sounds like a no no if there are bad reviews. Stick to the tried and tested methods.
You can find some good solo ad sellers in Facebook Groups and on Skype Chat rooms.

Let me tell you one thing. I use solo ads a lot, and it works like crazy! You must use reliable solo ad providers though. People that have a relationship with their list....these are quality lists. Anyone selling a solo ad for $5 is in my opionion a waste of time and money.
Expect to pay about $0,25 + + per click for a good solo ad.

    Well said Tom.

I'm even surprised you can find some for $0.25 ;) I'm involved with several Solo Ad groups via Skype and email and there's nothing better than actually talking to them, they are often willing to help you out with your solo ad because everyone loves a returning customer.

Test and trial but don't rely on what you originally commented about with BuildTraffic. I don't see anything to come of it other than a learning experience ;)

I totally agree with Tom and "Hey Steve!" How you doing buddy? OP is working sweet as a nut now thanks! Anyway back to solo's. $4.99 for 40,000 hits? Come on guys!!! If you think this is going to be quality traffic you need to think again! Solo ads ARE great and yes they DO convert, for one very good reason.

When your ad is placed it is going to be mailed to someones list who has a good relationship with that list. Their subscribers trust them and already buy from them. So when they email that list with YOUR offer, that offer is already what we call "Pre-Qualified" by the sender or owner of the list.

So if part of your offer is a squeeze page (which it should be) your opt in rate should be a lot higher than normal, and the traffic you gain from the ad should convert well, providing your offer or funnel is good.

Basically you want to be in a position where the cost of placing the solo ad will be at the very least covered by the sales you make from it. In other words you are building that all important list (and based on your solo ad provider it should be a high quality, targeted list) for FREE.

All of the above does NOT happen for $4.99 I can tell you that for nothing!

Here's some typical examples of what good quality solo's should cost you......

    100 unique clicks $40-$45
    200 unique clicks $80-$90
    300 unique clicks $120
    500 unique clicks $225
    1000 unique clicks $420

This should give you an idea of what real QUALITY traffic costs compared to 40,000 hits for under five bucks that to be honest won't convert into any sales.

Hope that helps and if you want a list of high quality solo ad providers please feel free to contact me.

Wow, thanks you guys. So much great advice. I have a few running now from the Reed Floren's list. Some good results already. Very powerful technique but like my teacher says, "Be careful or you will lose your shirt!"

If you have a good OTO in place you could make enough to cover the cost of the solo ad. Needs some testing before you spend a lot of money on solo ads.
