Yahoo is direct competitor to Google.. And don't forget that Yahoo is older than Google, there is no doubt to it.
As a competitor to Google, Yahoo is dying. Yahoo looks like a news site and advertisement sites. Too much ads, it doesn't look as a search engine.Today if we hear the name of Yahoo, then its news and ads come in front of us and we can't think it as a good search engine. So, It is dying as a search engine and evolving as a news or advertisement site..
How can you say that yahoo improved its services? There are lots of error while using yahoo mail today.. I don't think so..
No, Yahoo is not Dying. The Yahoo chat messenger and other yahoo services are popular around the world.
Ya 100% yahoo is daying not becouse they are not famouse or any thing else just because yahoo is really booring sory to say i remmber i make my 1st Ever Id on yahoo but it past i lot of time by using it now i dnt even remember hte password of yahoo lol....They just need to make yahoo intresting by puting something on it i know its gona rock again
yahoo has its place and will keep it for a long time. As a search engine, may be its time for them to go.
No but some of the changes they make really upset me. Such as their new homepage "update" if you can call it an update.
The day may come when yahoo dies. That truly will be a sad day. For that reason I do use yahoo and never take it for granted.
Yahoo is not dying yet, because it now part of Microsoft family. We know two name better than all and that is Google and Microsoft. So if Google is the world best search engine then Yahoo is now a part of Microsoft family. I agree that Yahoo sell some of best places like geocities, buzz and delicious. But it doesn't means that it is dying. May be they are planning for something new and great than this. Statistic saying that Yahoo is going down day by day and that is point of worry. Hope Yahoo return back with some new and nice functionality..!!!
Yahoo now try to improve their presence on Social Media. We all knows that Yahoo recently buy the popular micro-blogging platform Tumblr, acquisition of PalyerScale a software for cross-platform and the big update of Flickr to 1 terabyte to all users. Yahoo knows that without social media presence no one turn their heads to their side. I think Yahoo is back and not dying yet.
Yes, nowadays Yahoo is mainly use as source for news rather than search engine. I guess that's why they have to include advertisement all over the site to maintain their revenue. I would say that Yahoo is doing a pretty good job for news.
Yahoo does well for some features and is a good alternative when you can't find something in Google because seems to have less spam or useless sites on top for a keyword. However I believe that Yahoo main problem is that retain's the 1990s model of providing you with a portal/startup page as their home page rather than a plain search query box like Google (and even Bing) provides. Whenever you wanna make use of the sole search feature it's necessary to type http://search.yahoo.com as opposed to http:// google.com It might be a matter of a few seconds or a few more keystrokes, but is annoying, as it's also a hassle typing yahoo.com and get the full load of news and things happening around when you may only want to perform a quick search. If the portal style of the past century would be still trendy, Google would imposed us its iGoogle startup page since awhile, as they impose us actually features such as changes to Gmail interface or enforcing G+ registrations.
Yeah, the multiple accounts got hacked and lose investor due to change of CEO. But I think it will change with new buyout of tumblr and strategic changes.
