    Hi,

I need to downgrade to XP home from xp pro because of a game bug.

Can anyone please help me to fix this?

It says the setup cannot continue. And there is no option to upgrade.

I don't know that you can. I know it sounds painful, but you are best off doing a complete OS reinstall - which inherently means re-installing all of your software.

You could do a multi-boot and still retain your current install.

I'd suggest vmware, but it's not a good solution for gaming unfortunately.

What game is it that works with XP Home and doesn't work with XP Pro?

I also agree, I don't think it's possible to downgrade from pro to home.

This is something you would need to contact Microsoft about.

A game bug? Win XP Pro is the same as home version with additional functionality. I would be consulting Microsoft about your settings.

Format your harddrive and then install XP home. OR simply put Home disc in and during setup chose " New insallation and format C drive " That will do it for you :D

partition your hard drive with a new partition and then install Home on the new partition, that way you can leave Pro intact...

but you'd need a Home CD, you can't 'downgrade' so far as I know!

You'll have to just reinstall everything i'm afraid. I've had the problem before, as you'll need to get a home cd as well.
